Saying Sayonara to Energy Suckers

Last night I blocked one of the most toxic people I've ever known to interact with my life on all forms of social media and deleted him from my phone. As I've been playing around with this idea for weeks now, it wasn't until last night I had the courage to actually go through with it. In the past, I really loved this person but the positivity that he brought into my life seemed to have capped off over a year ago when I left him to sell christmas trees at 5am, feeling completely unseen and taken for granted, like my flesh had been scraped like cement across the pavement of on 181st st and Fort Washington.

Anyway, details aside, I cleared up some major space in my life last night. Too much than I'd like to admit, although he has an idea.

It's amazing to be in this world, where a person who is so absent in your life can have so much presence. This person had such a cyber-stronghold on me, as every little piece of communication we exchanged (and didn't exchange) seemed to have an unhealthy amount of weight and meaning attached to it.  Normally, I block all of my exes shortly after we break up, but there was never a "starting" or "ending" point to this pitiful relationship. From what I've learned, this relationship was a crystal clear example of that happens when and empath (me) dates a nacissist (him).

I'm excited to see how opening this space up will change my life, especially when it comes to love and relationships. Who or what did I make room for? If it's not space for love, perhaps it's more room to write and focus of my career. I remember taking time to make a list of "energy suckers" in my life. I'm proud to admit 2/2 of the people on that list are now out (sayonara)!

Day 2 complete!
